Training the Trainer Seminars Series
Our group, Cape Codders for Barack Obama have been encouraged to set up a way to work with new and seasoned campaign workers and leaders, and to teach every others, especially the trainers in other all cape towns on how to use the Barack Obama website effectively. This is a must for folks to be active and to take action over the next few weeks.
We are offering this training so the folks who may be willing to go into, or calling into swings states already armed with this knowledge.
The trainers will be Bob Jones, Lisa Nickerson, and John Bangert
- Bob Jones, retired executive in communications and marketing divisions of Eastman Kodak, and Corning Corporation in New York State
- Lisa Nickerson is the Marketing and Sales Director for The Standish Group International, an IT Research company headquartered in Boston and long-time campaign volunteer for many local, state and national elections.
- John Bangert Marketing Director for Crossmark, Inc. and former social studies teacher form Nauset Regional High School, Alternative Learning Center, as well as asst. manager for group home with CapeAbilities, Inc.

This is also a very cool site for folks that may want to travel to swing states. Or if you have a residence in a swing state you may offer it to the campaign to use for volunteers to use.

TravelForChange connects volunteers working for change with sponsors who can help to send them to the states that will help Obama win this election. The battleground states are: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
On this website verified volunteers post profiles, explaining when, where and why they are traveling for the general election this year. Sponsors can browse those profiles and connect directly with a volunteer.
We ask our sponsors to buy an airline ticket in a volunteer's name. Frequent flyer miles are a great way to do this! In most frequent flyer programs 25,000 miles can buy a round trip ticket anywhere in the United States — see the FAQ for more information.
TravelForChange is the project of four graduates of Stanford University, with a lot of great ideas and support from volunteers also working for San Francisco for Obama.
We have found sponsors for 30 volunteers so far!
